For even greater complexity, consumer product manufacturers are demanding more renewable or biodegradable materials. This engaging and informative session focuses on a real-world case of a specialty chemical manufacturer addressing material chemical compliance and meeting consumer electronics customer demand for more renewable or biodegradable material in its products, all the while avoiding hazardous chemicals and meeting material performance specifications.

Sarah Medearis

Sarah Medearis is an ERM Partner in the Washington, DC office. She has more than 25 years environmental consulting experience with a specialization in helping clients mitigate emerging regulatory risks and realize market opportunities through effective product stewardship programs. Her industry focus has been in the chemical, healthcare, consumer manufacturing and high tech sectors. She holds both masters and bachelor degrees in geochemistry.

Dr. Robert Janssen

Dr. Robert Janssen is an ERM Partner in the Frankfurt, Germany office. He has over 10 years of experience in chemical regulations: REACH, BPR, PIC, TSCA and upcoming new "REACH-like" chemical regulations around the globe. Robert also has over 20 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, process design & optimization, procurement of chemicals and HSE, substance identification and analysis (NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, elemental analysis, UV, FT-IR).
