Nicola is a Senior Partner with over 25 years of Environmental Consulting experience focused in the renewable energy sector.  Nicola is passionate about a sustainable transition to clean energy and specializes in renewable energy projects bringing a collaborative, innovative and client focused approach to projects globally . Nicola is the Managing Partner for renewable's in the EMEA region bringing solutions to clients investing in and developing renewables at all stages of development. Nicola's technical focus and background is in Project Development which includes project planning, early project risk identification, impact assessment and management and ESDD. She has led studies for clients in the UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East many of which have been geographical and technological 'firsts'.  She has also led a number of Strategic and Regional cumulative assessments to bring better strategic decision making to clients, investors, governments, regulators and stakeholders to aid rapid and integrated development of renewable assets. Nicola has worked closely with many of the major lending institutions and has an in depth understanding of International standards and their application to on and offshore renewable energy projects through the ESIA and EIA process. 

Søren is a partner with ERM with 30+ years of experience in multidisciplinary development, permitting, structural design, construction and implementation of more than 20 offshore wind projects over the last 10 years. Søren has worked on wind projects in 20+ countries. Søren has 10 years of experience in the general construction for large onshore and offshore infrastructure projects and has international working experience on major, complex, multidisciplinary and large projects. In recent year, Søren has been engaged in early stage development phases, where cooperation between permitting and environmental disciplines and the technical and engineering disciplines has been key.

Annette is based in Hamburg, Germany. She holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and European Energy Economics and has more than 30 years of experience in environmental, health & safety (EH&S) management with a specific focus on the wind sector. She has worked extensively on both onshore and offshore wind assignments, including planning and permitting of onshore wind farms, developing EH&S management frameworks for wind farm construction sites, providing construction site on-site EH&S support as well as implementing safety culture diagnostics and improvement programmes for offshore wind suppliers. 

Breanne is a Partner in ERM’s Renewables Practice, with a passion for the wind industry. She has 20 years of experience across the European Union, North America, and Asia where she has worked in industry, not-for-profit, and consulting organizations.Breanne has supported wind project development through new market entry and feasibility studies, offshore wind bid support, supply chain strategy, offshore floating lidar surveys, large contract negotiations, and measurement campaign design. Her clients include offshore wind developers and operators, governmental agencies, wind associations, and the highly sought-after wind supply chain. Prior to joining ERM, Breanne managed large offshore wind floating LiDAR projects globally and contributed to the development of floating LiDAR standards and commercial acceptance of the technology. She is the Partner-in-Charge of an ERM joint industry project focused on studying data from multiple floating LiDAR campaigns to reduce measurement campaign uncertainties and improve project financing and investment returns. Breanne possesses skills in project and account management, leading large and diverse project teams, and supporting the commercial acceptance of new innovations and participants in the wind supply chain.

Alex is a Partner within the Renewables Industry at ERM. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the development, consenting and environmental assessment of major infrastructure projects with his focus area being offshore wind projects and their associated onshore grid connections. Alex has spent most of his career supporting renewable energy development and he is passionate about the UK and our world achieving renewable energy objectives. Alex has worked on offshore wind and marine energy projects across England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and wider Europe. He has been able to support projects at all phases of development from site selection and lease application support, Environmental Impact Assessment and consenting to discharging conditions post consent in preparation for construction. Previously, Alex has managed teams of 25+ Environmental Consultants from Project Managers to EIA Co-ordinators to Technical Specialists working on a range of marine energy projects in the UK and internationally. He has developed skills in managing diverse teams, leading teams through periods of transition, communicating objectives and strategy, networking and integrating teams with wider company divisions, supporting teams in business development, resource planning and performance management.

Rob is a consulting expert in offshore wind and hydrogen with 15+ years of experience in renewable energy. Within ERM, Rob is responsible for bid support to offshore wind developers in competitive auctions with qualitative criteria/ conditions and ample experience in bid strategy, proof point development and bid writing. His fields of expertise also include offshore wind grid development, with extensive experience in energy hub/ artifical island and hybrid interconnectors studies. For Twelve years, Rob worked for the Dutch Transmission System Operator TenneT in The  Netherlands where he co-lead the acquisition in Germany. Since 2013, Rob worked as Business Manager and Manager Offshore Grid Development in the management team of the offshore department of TenneT in The Netherlands. In these roles, Rob witnessed the acceleration of this promising industry and the challenges of onshore integration. For many years, Rob worked in close cooperation with the authorities to shape the offshore wind programmes. In reaching the targets of the climate agreement, Rob lived the commercial needs of companies and the challenges of expanding the offshore wind roadmaps. Rob lead the origination of the consortium the “North Sea Wind Power Hub” to initiate with Energinet, TenneT Germany, Gasunie and Port of Rotterdam. Within ERM, Rob has worked on numerous EIA and (ES)DD projects. Rob combines his experience in offshore wind with the in depth knowledge on ecological effects and system integration challenges, to assist companies in further expanding their business.

Pieterjan is a partner and Global Account Director in the Energy Sector at ERM with 25 years of experience. He is passionate about the challenges and opportunities that come with a global energy transition. In particular he is enthusiastic about helping large organisations address their business imperatives and drivers in a volatile and complex business environment: Sustainability - Low Carbon Economy and Energy Transition - Investment/Finance - Business Performance & Resilience - EHS. As Global Account Director, Pieterjan is responsible for building and maintaining a global partnership with ENGIE and Ocean Winds. In this role he combines relevant client and market insights with ERM's global capablities in order to continuously be able to bring our best value in a consistent way.

Cristina is a Partner at ERM with experience in change management, sustainability transformation, program & project management, facilitation & coaching, multi-stakeholder engagement. Cristina supports ERM clients in large, complex sustainability journeys, energy transition projects and digital transformation. Currently, she is the Global Account Manager for one our key clients in the renewables & power sector. Cristina excels at partnering with client to understand their needs in strategic & operational areas, support scoping their needs and create ERM teams to successfully deliver renewables & sustainability projects. General knowledge of offshore, onshore, hydrogen, sustainability and decarbonization plans and challenges in the energy sector. Having a background in change management, I support the client understand how change & transformation can support them accelerate implementation of their energy transition & sustainability plans. Cristina has 20+ years of experience developing and implementing transformational change, executive support and employee engagement strategies for international companies. She uses her strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive innovation and operational excellence for enhanced business results. She is also a skilled facilitator and a certified project manager. She has delivered projects for clients in the energy, financial and manufacturing sectors. Cristina is a strategic thinker with a strong drive to achieve successful business outcomes. She is a diplomatic individual with excellent strategic vision, analytical- and communications skills. She holds an MBA by Durham University; PROSCI, Agile and PM certifications and a master’s in communications.

David is an onshore renewables and M&A specialist with 14 years of wind consultancy experience. He has worked as project manager and project director on over 50 international wind and solar technical due diligence assignments, including vendor, acquisition and pre-financial close projects for single sites and large portfolios at the operational and early development stage. David has specialist knowledge in wind farm operation, technology and construction and significant experience in carrying out WTG and construction site inspections. His country experience includes UK, Spain, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Greece, Pakistan, Jordan, Australia, USA, Latvia, Lithuania and Scandinavia.

Overall, Mette has more than 20 years of experience working with environment, development and construction. She has has more than ten years' experience working in the offshore business on projects across the globe. She has held multiple roles within offshore wind projects from feasibility, in development and through to construction. Mette has experience both as a consultant and a developer working in offshore wind. Her experience spans from permitting manager, Site Investigation Projects manager and working specifically with subsea cables. ​The combination of working both on the permitting side of offshore projects as well as the engineering side gives Mette the unique skill of understanding both sides of a project, identifying risks and finding solutions. ​Besides being a consultant and working as a developer Mette has worked on the regulatory side and brings an understanding of the challenges to infrastructure projects going across multiple regulatory bodies and political agendas.​

Bernd Okkels has worked with management, procurement, engineering and construction of offshore wind farms, Power-to-X and power plants for decades. He has comprehensive experience with business and project development, and has successfully demonstrated his skills in development, maturation, execution and commissioning of projects with special focus on grid connection, on- and offshore substations, submarine cables and offshore cable installation. Bernd has detailed knowledge of flexible power plants and system integration of renewables and green hydrogen production. He has worked with Hybrid power plants, Solar power, energy storage and O&M optimization of HV & SCADA assets.

Charles is a Partner at ERM Germany; with 15 years’ experience supporting business development and go-to-market strategy initiatives in energy sector projects across Europe. He has 15 years’ energy sector experience (natural gas, infrastructure, Power-to-X, hydrogen) in North-Western and Eastern Europe. Charles has a specific background in energy infrastructure (gas transportation & storage, regulatory affairs) and green hydrogen projects.

Since joining ERM, Charles has been leading major renewable energy development and strategic projects in Germany and Central Europe. He has been particularly involved in offshore wind development projects, providing consenting and stakeholder engagement advisory to new market entries.

Max specializes in providing strategic advice to enery investors on socio-political, stakeholder and reputational issues across Africa, the Middle East and Europe. He has extensive experience helping renewable energy companies to assess and manage the license-to-operate risks associated with their investments, including through detailed new market entry studies, reputational risk assessments, stakeholder management and navigating geo-political risk.
